Shanghai

Our most popular trip, this tour includes most of the highlights of our slightly longer China itinerary, including travel to the pandas in Chengdu, the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, bamboo rafting in Yangshuo and camping under the stars on the Great Wall.

Day 01: Arrive Shanghai
On your first day in Shanghai, you will meet your group and Adventure Leader at airport & transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Shanghai & Guilin
After breakfast explore Shanghai city.

Shanghai, on China’s central coast, is the country’s biggest city and a global financial hub. Its heart is the Bund, a famed waterfront promenade lined with colonial-era buildings. Across the Huangpu River rises the Pudong district’s futuristic skyline, including 632m Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, with distinctive pink spheres. Sprawling Yu Garden has traditional pavilions, towers and ponds.

After drinks, you will transfer to Shanghai South Station to board a night train to Guilin. One Adventure Leader will put you on the train and another will collect you in Guilin.

Please note that this group tour does not include any time in Shanghai. To enjoy the city, it’s best to add an extra night before or after your trip.
