Triund is the crown jewel of dharamshala , situated in the laps of dhauladhar mountains, it has the perfect view of the dhauladhar mountains on one side and kangra valley on the other. Triund is a very popular trekking spot . Triund attracts a lot of tourist every year from India and all over the world .

Triund  trek can be described as a tranquil trek which can be easily accomplished by almost all age groups . Triund has an unambiguous byway which goes through a beautiful mixed forest of oak, deodar and rhododendron . Trek is fairly easy for the first five kilometers but the last one kilometer may require a bit of toil , the last one kilometer is popularly know as the “22 curves” as it has 22 tiring  curves before you finally reach Triund. Along the way there are many small  chai shops where one can refresh during the hike. The traipse is worth it as the panorama when you reach triund is awe-inspiring and exhilarating .Triund is come-at-able for most part of the year except for when the byway to triund is cut off by heavy snowfall in the months of  January and February . Trip to triund can be planed diversely.

Day 01 Arrive Delhi

Delhi – Chakki Bank

You will be met at the airport by our guide / escort who will transfer you to your hotel where you will be able to freshen up and rest before some sightseeing in Delhi. You will have a chance to look around India’s bustling capital, with its labyrinth of streets and markets, crowded with exotic produce and a bewildering mix of people. You can spend time shopping, or take in one of Delhi’s many sights, including the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar and Raj Ghat. You will also be able to take an optional cycle rickshaw tour around Old Delhi, allowing you to experience a more interesting and colourful side to the city. After dinner you will catch the overnight air-con sleeper train to Chakki Bank, near Dharamsala.

Day 02 Chakki Bank – Dharamshala B – L – D By Road 90 Kms / 3 hrs. appx.

We arrive in Chakki Banknow called Pathankot Cantt. Station rly station early next morning and transfer by road to Dharamshala3hours drive by cars – the spiritual home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Our cars wind their way through the narrow streets to our hotel in Mcleodganj upper Dharamshala. On their arrival their will be some free time to explore this fascinating town. You can explore the many gift shops or haggle with the Tibetan street traders or visit the spiritual sanctuary of the Dalai Lama’s residence. We meet later in the evening for dinner and a briefing for the start of our challenge.

Day 03 Dharamshala – Satobari

After breakfast we transfer by road Satobari, the starting point of our trek. from Satobari it is downhill walk through pine forest to Ghera village. Enroute we come across Barnet Village. At Ghera we cross a small stream over an improvised bridge and continue the trek on a steep uphill trail to Kareri where we camp near a small fresh water stream. O/N stay in tents.

Day 04 Kareri Village – Bahl B – L – D Trek 15kms. /5 -6hrs appx.

We continue ascending today on a trail that leads us through more charming villages and across beautiful open meadows and a pine forest on the way. At lunch time we make a short descent to have our picnic by a mountain stream. After lunch we continue climbing until we reach our overnight camp at Balh.

Day 05 Bahl Village – Triund B – L – D Trek 15 Kms. / 5-6 hrs. appx.

We continue our trek by crossing on the bridge before ascending through rhododendron and pine forest. As we continue to ascent we soon come across the local chai shop where we can take a rest and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery all around us.

Continue our ascent after lunch. We finally reach our camp on an alpine meadow at Triund which in winter is above the snow line and faces the breathtaking permanently snow capped peaks of the Dhauladhar mountain range. The Dhauladhar range is the southern branch of the main outer Himalayan chain of the mountains. It rises spectacularly from the Indian plains to the north of Kangra.

Day 06 Triund –Laka Got – Triund B – L – D Trek 10 Kms. / 4-5 hrs. appx.

Our trek today is the challenging ascent to the fascinating Laka Got, situated at the lip of a glacier. There will be an opportunity for us to trek on the glacier in order to reach Lahesh Cave-an overnight shelter use by the shephereds when travelling over the mountains with their sheets. We return to our camp at Triund for our last night under the spectacularly clear night sky where you may see shooting stars.

Day 07 Triund – Bhagsu Nag

Following our last breakfast in the camp site, we begin our trekking on a grassy ridge which offers a final unrestricted view of the snow capped peaks that surround us. Our trek continues with the steep descent to the BhagsunagNalla stream which we cross by hopping over the boulders with help from our guides. We push on towards Bhagsunag, an ancient hindu temple dedicated to Bhagsunag, the snake God and to Lord Shiva. A fresh water spring, in which pilgrims to take a holy dip close to the temple. We continue to our finish line in Dharamshala.

This evening we enjoy our celebratory dinner and the chance to reflect on our achievements.

Day 08 Dharamsala – Pathankot

Pathankot – Delhi

After a relaxing morning, you will travel to Norbulinka Institute. En route, we will visit Baijnath Temple, a Shiva temple built in 804AD. It is an ancient and important pilgrimage site, famed for its intricate stone carvings. The Norbulinka Institute was established to teach & preserve traditional Tibetan art & crafts, such as woodcarving, statue-making, thangka painting and embroidery. There is also a beautiful temple here set amongst Japanese gardens with wooden bridges across tiny streams and waterfalls; it is a beautiful and peaceful place, with a small café. You will then catch the overnight air-con sleeper train to Delhi.

Day 09 Arrive Delhi

Delhi – Agra

B – L – D By Train

Arrive Delhi, meet assist and transfer to Agra.

On arrival, check into the hotel.

PM: Visit Agra.

Overnight in Agra.

Day 10 Agra – Delhi

In time departure transfer to flight back home.
